Compassion, Care, and Brightening Every Day — Celebrating Our December Employees of the Month

 At Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, every team member contributes to the care, comfort, and happiness of our patients and clients. This December, we’re proud to recognize two exceptional individuals whose dedication, positivity, and skill make a lasting impact: Ana from our Boarding team and Alyssa from our Treatment team. Their energy and commitment brighten our hospital every day and inspire those around them.
 

  Ana joined BRVC just four months ago but has already made a remarkable impression through her attentiveness, care, and enthusiasm for our patients. In her role as a Boarding Assistant, Ana is responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of the dogs and cats in her care. She administers medications accurately, prepares meals to meet each pet’s dietary needs, monitors health and behavior, and ensures that every pet has regular yard time and potty breaks.
 

When asked what she looks forward to each day, Ana shared:

"I look forward to seeing the dogs and cats' excitement when I walk in each day. Their wagging tails, purrs, and happy greetings make the job feel rewarding. I love meeting new dogs or getting to see again the ones I already knew. I love when I build bonds with pets because I feel like they are my second family."
 

  Ana’s genuine love for the pets and her thoughtful attention to each animal’s needs brings joy to everyone around her. Her enthusiasm also helps create a positive, supportive environment for her colleagues—especially for new team members learning the ropes in Boarding. Her presence fosters a warm, nurturing atmosphere that makes both pets and team members feel supported and valued.
 

  Alyssa has been a vital part of the BRVC family for nearly five years, not only as a Registered Veterinary Technician but also as a Treatment Lead. She steps in wherever help is needed—supporting surgeries, assisting doctors during exams, caring for hospitalized patients, and helping our teams from Boarding to CSR, Pharmacy, and more. Alyssa’s readiness to jump in wherever the hospital needs her ensures that every patient receives excellent care and every department runs smoothly.
 

Reflecting on her role, Alyssa shared:

"One of the things I look forward to most each day is working alongside such an amazing team. I love how we come together to provide the best possible care for our patients and clients. It means a lot to me to be someone my team can rely on for support, and to be able to advocate not only for them, but for our patients as well."
 

  Alyssa’s dedication, collaborative spirit, and calm, dependable presence inspire her colleagues and strengthen the teamwork that makes BRVC thrive. She is also a mentor and role model for newer team members, demonstrating the importance of being reliable, following through on commitments, fostering clear communication, and setting a positive example.   Her communication with clients is equally impressive—often serving as the line of communication between clients and our veterinarians, she guides each family through their pet’s visit with empathy, clarity, and reassurance, providing a gold standard of client support!
