Canine Reproductive Services

At Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care, our team recognizes the commitment, emotional and financial investment, and pride in showing and breeding purebred dogs.

As of March 23rd, 2023, Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care will no longer be able to support all reproductive services. We recommend pet owners looking for support for breeding and reproductive services contact - Kokopelli Assisted Reproductive Services. Dr. Bruce Christensen, DVM, MS, DACT, a board-certified specialist in canine reproduction, is the only one in Northern California.

Needed Testing & Support

Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care will continue to support progesterone testing by providing results only to pet owners. The fee for the labwork is $70.00. You will receive results the next day via email, and you can then report to either Dr. Christensen or any veterinarian assisting you with your timing.

Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care doctors and staff may be able to assist with other monitoring services and diagnoses depending on our schedule and doctor availability. We encourage you to call our hospital if you are looking for any of the following services:

● Emergency C-Sections
● Surgical Pyometra Surgery
● Brucellosis Testing*
● OFA breed testing

*Brucellosis testing is for blood work only, we do not interpret results
