Compassion, Commitment, and Continuity of Care — Celebrating Our February Employees of the Month

  Every day at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, our team shows up with skill, empathy, and dedication—supporting patients and clients through everything from difficult diagnoses to joyful, healthy milestones. This February, we’re proud to recognize two team members whose work truly reflects the heart of BRVC: Dr. Michelle Tien from our Veterinarian team and Manny A. from our Client Service team. 
 

  Dr. Tien has been a valued member of the BRVC family since August 2019, serving as a dedicated veterinarian across both our DVM team and Urgent Care. Her impact reaches far beyond scheduled appointments. Dr. Tien is a trusted medical resource throughout the hospital, offering guidance and support to clients while also assisting team members across CSR, Pharmacy, Boarding, and Treatment with medical questions and clinical insight.
 

  In her day-to-day work, Dr. Tien balances a wide range of responsibilities—from conducting thorough exams and answering medical inquiries from both clients and staff, to reviewing and confirming medications to ensure they’re accurate and appropriate before being sent home, and assisting the Treatment team as needed. She also serves as a mentor to our newer veterinarians, offering guidance and support as they establish a strong foundation at BRVC and continue building their skills and confidence. Her willingness to step in wherever she’s needed helps create continuity of care and confidence across departments, especially during busy or high-stress moments.
 

When asked what she looks forward to most at work, Dr. Tien shared:

"When you’ve helped a patient through a rough time and they come in for a normal wellness visit. It’s such a gratifying part of this career, even during long and demanding days.”

  That perspective speaks to the heart of Dr. Tien’s approach to veterinary medicine. She is deeply committed to walking alongside patients and their families—not just during moments of illness or crisis, but all the way through to stability, comfort, and long-term health. Her compassion, perseverance, and steady presence make a meaningful difference for the pets we serve, their people, and the teams who work beside her each day.
 

  Joining our Client Service team just five months ago, Manny has quickly become a trusted and familiar presence at the front desk. He plays a vital role in the daily rhythm of the hospital, expertly managing client check-ins and check-outs while serving as a primary point of contact for questions related to billing, prescriptions, and local emergency resources.
 

Manny’s responsibilities extend well beyond the front desk. He supports insurance claim processing, manages high-volume communications, and helps ensure our daily financial records stay balanced. He also takes ownership of the overall “flow” of the hospital—coordinating communication between departments and making sure the front end is stocked with the supplies and resources our doctors and clients rely on.
 

  For Manny, the best days are the ones where teamwork comes together seamlessly.   When asked what he looks forward to most, he shared:

"I look forward to seeing my team work well together and seeing the patients—especially the little ones—and watching them grow. I also look forward to all the treats our thoughtful clients bring in for us!“
