Dedication, Expertise, and Heart — Celebrating Our January Employees of the Month

 Every day at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, our team members strive to go above and beyond to provide thoughtful, compassionate care to our patients and clients. This January, we’re thrilled to recognize two outstanding team members whose dedication, skill, and teamwork make a meaningful difference throughout our hospital: Rachel from our Treatment team and Randi from our Phone team.
 

  Rachel joined the BRVC family in June 2014 while she was still in undergrad, balancing school  with her work schedule. After taking a brief hiatus to work as a nurse in human medicine, she returned in June 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience, perspective, and renewed appreciation for the hospital community. Over the years, Rachel has contributed in nearly every department—including Boarding, Drop-In/Outpatient, Patient Care, Pharmacy, Phone Room, and Urgent Care—but has always maintained her primary focus in Treatment.
 

  In her current role, Rachel works primarily in Urgent Care, Sedation, and Outpatient Services, while also supporting anesthetic and procedure coverage as needed. Her versatility, calm presence, and technical expertise help ensure that every patient receives excellent care and every shift runs smoothly.
 

When asked what she looks forward to most at work, Rachel shared:

" I gained so much appreciation for working at BRVC when I stepped away for a couple of years. I love seeing all of my colleagues—each and every one of them brings something special to the table and they truly feel like family. Working as an advice tech during COVID, and then as a nurse in human medicine has also brought our clients to the forefront of my mind. I love seeing the difference we make every day not just for our patients, but for their people.
 

  Randi has been a valued member of the BRVC team for nearly nine years, joining us in 2017 and making a lasting impact across our Client Service and Phone teams. Throughout her time here, she has taken on roles ranging from Client Service Representative to trainer, and today serves as a key member of our Phone Room—often acting as the steady, knowledgeable voice clients rely on during stressful moments.
 

  In her current role, Randi handles a wide range of responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, providing advice support, post appointment or procedure patient callbacks, confirming online appointment requests, responding to client text messages, reviewing voicemails, requesting medical records, and passing along important messages from doctors to clients. Her ability to juggle these tasks with consistency, accuracy, and empathy plays a critical role in keeping communication flowing smoothly between our teams and the families we serve.
 

When asked what she looks forward to most each day, Randi shared:

" Working with my team and helping out clients get the care they need for their pets.
 

  Although simple and direct, that sentiment perfectly captures Randi’s approach to her work—she shows up every day for her team and for our clients, making sure pets get the care they need and people feel supported along the way. Her reliability, experience, and calm demeanor make her an invaluable part of the Phone Team and a trusted resource across the hospital.
 

  We are incredibly grateful for both Rachel and Randi—not only for the skills and experience they bring to BRVC, but for the heart, dedication, and professionalism they show every day.
