From Recovery to Reception-Claudia & Marya Make a Difference

  Every month at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, we take a moment to spotlight team members who go above and beyond—and this May, we’re thrilled to shine that light on Claudia and Marya. Known for their compassion, dependability, and the meaningful connections they build with both pets and people, these two team members were nominated by their peers for the positive impact they make across the hospital. Whether it’s supporting a patient through a delicate recovery or offering comfort and guidance to a grieving client, Claudia and Marya embody the values that define our culture of care.
 

  Claudia has been a dedicated and highly skilled member of the BRVC team for 11 years. As our primary Recovery Technician, she plays a critical role in ensuring that pets transition safely and comfortably after surgery or sedation. From monitoring vitals and checking for complications to communicating concerns to doctors, Claudia is deeply focused on making sure each patient’s recovery is smooth and closely managed. Her calm presence and keen attention to detail make a real difference during some of the most sensitive moments in a pet’s care.
 

  In addition to her recovery responsibilities, Claudia provides support across multiple areas, including Outpatient, Patient Care, and Urgent Care. Whether she’s assisting with treatments like X-rays, blood draws, or IV catheter placements, or helping maintain workflow between departments, Claudia brings a steady, collaborative energy to every shift.
 

  When asked what she looks forward to most at work, Claudia shared: “The ability to advocate for the patients at a vulnerable time, making sure they are well taken care of while under my care. Beyond recovery, I love being able to provide excellent treatment to the animals whose families trust us with their care.”
 

  Marya joined BRVC in September 2024, and in that short time, has made a lasting impression through her kindness, initiative, and dedication to both clients and coworkers. As a valued member of our Client Service team, she helps manage the front desk while also stepping in as an Exam Room Assistant when needed. Her flexibility and willingness to contribute across roles are matched by her thoughtful handling of one of our more delicate responsibilities—coordinating remains care and providing support to grieving clients with grace and empathy.
 

  Beyond her client-facing duties, Marya also helps organize team outings and social events, bringing people together and strengthening our hospital culture. She truly thrives when building community—both with clients and among colleagues.
 

  For Marya, the most rewarding part of her role is clear, “Connecting with the clients and pets is definitely the best part of the job. I love what I do, but the relationships we build—especially with our long-time clients, and even the new ones—are what I reflect on after a long day. Plus, the puppy kisses are an added bonus!”
 

  Claudia and Marya bring heart, reliability, and a spirit of service to everything they do. Their dedication helps make Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center a place where pets receive exceptional care and clients feel truly supported. We’re so grateful to have them as part of our team.
