Every day at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, our team shows up with skill, dedication, and a deep commitment to providing thoughtful, compassionate care to our patients and clients. This May, we’re excited to recognize two outstanding team members whose experience, teamwork, and positive presence make a meaningful impact across our hospital: Nikita from our Treatment team and Kelsey from our Exam Room Assistant team.
Nikita has been a cornerstone of the BRVC team for nearly 22 years this August, bringing extensive clinical experience, advanced technical skill, and a steady, trusted presence to our Treatment department. Over her time at BRVC, she has also worked in Drop-In/Outpatient and ERA, building a broad foundation that supports her confidence and versatility in patient care.
In her current role, Nikita supports surgical and dental patients by assisting with admissions, placing IV catheters, collecting blood samples, performing dental procedures including cleanings, extractions, and oral radiographs, and monitoring anesthesia. Her work requires precision, focus, and experience, and she brings all three to every patient she cares for.
When asked what she looks forward to most when coming to work, Nikita shared:
"Every day is different when it comes to dentals. The doctors place a lot of trust in me, and I’m able to take ownership of my dental procedures. It’s very rewarding because patients often feel better quickly once the issue is addressed. I also really enjoy seeing long-term patients and their families, many of whom I’ve cared for since they were young. I also enjoy my coworkers and the doctors I work alongside.”
That perspective reflects the depth of Nikita’s experience and the meaning she finds in her work. Her clinical skill, consistency, and long-standing relationships across the hospital make her an invaluable part of the Treatment team.
Kelsey has been a valued member of the BRVC family for the past 8 months, working as one of our Exam Room Assistants. In that time, she has quickly become a reliable and positive presence, supporting both patients and teammates across the hospital.
In her role, Kelsey is responsible for rooming patients, helping coordinate communication between teams, keeping exam rooms prepared and stocked, and assisting with treatments when needed. Her work helps keep daily operations running smoothly and supports a coordinated, positive experience for clients and patients.
When asked what she looks forward to most when coming to work, Kelsey shared:
"Seeing and chatting with the coworkers that make my day brighter!”
That simple sentiment reflects the energy she brings to BRVC each day. Kelsey’s presence contributes to a supportive, team-focused environment, and her willingness to step in wherever needed helps strengthen collaboration across departments.
Together, our May Employees of the Month reflect the experience, teamwork, and heart that define Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center. Please join us in congratulating Nikita and Kelsey for their contributions and the positive impact they continue to make for our patients, clients, and each other!
