Meet Joey: A Goofy, Loyal Heart Ready to Be Your Best Friend

  Say hello to Joey! This sweet, goofy, and endlessly charming Shepherd/Labrador mix has a whole lot of personality packed into his 60 pounds of love—and he’s here to introduce himself in the most Joey way possible:

  "Hi! I’m Joey—and nope, not THAT Joey from the famous TV Series, FRIENDS… well… okay - maybe just a little bit.

  I’ve got Ross’s intelligence, Monica’s dependability, Chandler’s positivity, Rachel’s charm, and Phoebe’s quirkiness. And deep down? I’ve got a whole lot of Joey in me too—goofy, lovable, and always ready to steal your heart.

  I’m an active, energetic, well-mannered and ever-happy 7-year-young Shepherd/Labrador mix weighing in at about 60 lbs.

  The first things you’ll notice about me is how handsome I am and how effortlessly I rock the salt-and-pepper look like a true distinguished gentledog. You’ll also see how wonderfully friendly and warm I am as I come right up to you, take a moment to sniff and say “hello,” and gently accept a treat or two from your hands.

  And before you know it, I’ll be following you around, leaning on your legs and sitting by your feet like we’ve been besties forever.

  I love to stay active by chasing a ball or running around the yard with a rope toy in my mouth! I also have a favorite bench in the yard where I patiently wait for a volunteer buddy to come sit with me so I can soak up some cuddles, head scratches, and those oh-so-good chin rubs.

  And I am very well-trained too! I already know “Sit,” “Down,” and “Stay” and will “Come” when called. I live to please my human friends and am also very food motivated, which will make it easy for you train me and teach me new things!

  I’ll admit… I can get a little excited by all the interesting sights and smells on walks. But toss a few tasty treats my way and I’ll quickly check back in with you and stay focused. And oh, my volunteer friends say I have the cutest butt strut when I walk!

  I can be picky when it comes to other doggos but do have a whole lotta fun running the fence with some friendly doggos in the adjacent yards. If you have a doggo at home, please bring them along for a supervised, on-leash meet and greet.
