" Hello! I’m Sally, Your Bestest Fur-riend! My hooman friends affectionately call me Silly Sally, and you can too! I'm a 3-yearold German Shepherd mix girl weighing in at 72 lbs of beauty, charm and goofiness.

The first things you’ll notice about me are my soulful golden brown eyes, those cute bunny ears, and that ever-present, happy tongue-lolling grin. Cute, am I not? My favoritest place in the whole wide world is the play yard. That’s my kingdom, and I feel like a queen when I’m there! Ah, those amazing smells, the warm sunlight on my fur, that wind booping me on the nose—its Heaven! Sometimes, my volunteers have to bribe me with treats to get me back inside!

Another favorite of mine? Toys! Especially tennis balls and squeakies! You’ll catch me pawing a ball and going around in circles like a soccer pro or rolling on my back, squeaking a toy in my mouth. Sometimes, I’ll toss a toy in the air and run around, looking adorably confused (head tilts and all), wondering where it went. Now you know how I earned my nickname!

When we first meet, I may seem aloof and act like I’m too cool for you. But wait…give me a little time (and some jerky treats) and you’ll see what my volunteer friends see - the affectionate and goofy side of me. You’ll also notice that I’m super alert—if something catches my eye, I pay attention! A car driving by? I’m on it. A volunteer walking past? Yep, I'm checking them out too. What can I say? I like to stay on top of things.

I know how to “Sit,” “Stay” and go “Down”. I absolutely love leash walks and, in my excitement to read all the pee-mails, I may pull sometimes. But if you stop and tell me to “Come back,” I’ll be right at your side.

I love spending time with hoomans, but I’m selective when it comes to doggos and seem to prefer hanging out with the boys. I can get a little vocal and speak my mind when doggos walk past me. But say “No, leave it” and ask me to “Focus” on you, and I’ll try to listen to you, especially when there’s a treat coming my way! Speaking of treats, while I’ll sit and take them from you gently, I may sometimes forget my manners and get a tad bit excited to get to it.

I'm looking for someone who has the experience and patience to handle large, energetic doggos and can give me the time, training and exercise I need to thrive and be the paw-some best friend I know I can be! If you’re ready for a life filled with love, laughter, squeaky toys and tennis balls, c’mon over and meet me! Give me a chance to show you what a good girl I am. "
