Teamwork, Versatility, and Care — Celebrating Our September Employees of the Month

  Every day at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, it takes a team of people working together to make sure our patients receive thoughtful care and our clients feel supported. From preparing patients for procedures to caring for pets while they stay with us, each department plays an important role in the experience we provide.
 

  This September, we’re excited to recognize two team members who bring that spirit of teamwork and care to their roles in different ways: Veronica from our Treatment team and Samantha from our Boarding team.
 

  Veronica has been part of the BRVC family for over six years. During her time at the hospital, she has had the opportunity to work across several departments, including Boarding, Exam Room Assistant, and Client Service, in addition to her primary role with our Treatment team. Her experience in different areas of the hospital has given her a well-rounded understanding of the many moving parts that come together to support our patients, clients, and fellow team members.
 

  In her primary role with our Treatment team, Veronica supports our Procedure and Outpatient services. Her daily responsibilities can include helping surgery technicians prepare procedure suites and patients for their scheduled procedures, as well as assisting with outpatient appointments such as nail trims, vaccine updates, and lab work. Her experience also allows her to step into Client Service when needed, helping clients with questions, appointments, and other needs throughout their visit.
 

  When asked what she looks forward to most when coming to work, Veronica shared:

“I look forward to seeing all the familiar furry faces of our patients and their people.”
 

  That simple answer reflects the relationships Veronica has built during her time at BRVC. After more than six years at the hospital and experience across multiple departments, she has had the opportunity to get to know many of the pets and families who walk through our doors. Whether she is preparing a patient for a procedure, helping a client in CSR, or assisting with an outpatient appointment, she brings that familiarity and connection with her.
 

  Samantha joined the BRVC family six months ago and has become a valued member of our Boarding team. While she is still newer to the hospital and has worked primarily within Boarding, she has embraced the responsibility that comes with caring for pets who are staying with us.
 

  Her daily responsibilities include caring for the pets who are Boarding with us while their families are away, keeping a close eye on their health and well-being, and communicating with clients when there are updates or concerns about how their pets are doing. From the everyday care they receive to the reassurance provided to their families, Samantha helps make sure our boarding pets are happy, healthy, and well cared for during their stay.
 

  When asked what she looks forward to most when coming to work, Samantha shared:

“Something I look forward to when coming to work is seeing my coworkers and working together to give the best care to the pets we have in Boarding!”
 

  Samantha’s answer highlights something that is especially important in Boarding: caring for our patients is a team effort. Her appreciation for her coworkers and the opportunity to work together reflects the collaboration that happens every day to make sure each boarding pet receives the attention and care they need. Even early in her time at BRVC, Samantha has shown how much teamwork matters to the experience we create for the pets in our care.
 

Celebrating the Difference They Make

  Veronica and Samantha may be at different points in their BRVC journeys and support different areas of the hospital, but both demonstrate the importance of being part of a team that cares.
 

  Veronica brings years of experience, flexibility, and a familiarity with our patients and clients that comes from working across multiple areas of the hospital. Samantha brings a thoughtful focus to the pets in her care and a genuine appreciation for the coworkers who help make that care possible. Together, they represent the many ways our team works behind the scenes and alongside our clients to create a positive experience for the pets and families who trust us.
