At Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care, we love shining a light on adoptable shelter pets who are ready to find their forever homes—and this month, we’re rolling out the red carpet for one seriously stunning girl. Introducing Mitah: a Siberian Husky mix with model-level good looks, a heart full of affection, and a whole lot of zoomie energy to spare.
From her striking coat to her goofy grin, Mitah is pure joy wrapped in floof—and she’s ready to strut her stuff right into your heart.
But don’t just take our word for it—here’s Mitah to tell you all about herself (in true celebrity fashion):
Runway-Ready Floofball Looking for a Fur-ever Fan Club! 📸✨
Henlo! I’m Mitah (pronounced My-tah, but honestly, I’d rather be Your-tah)! I’m a breathtakingly gorgeous, endearingly affectionate, and charmingly playful Siberian Husky mix girl. I’m about 4 years old, tipping the scales at 45 lbs. of floof and fun.
The first thing you’ll notice about me is how ridiculously happy I always am! I’m a social butterfly who’ll bounce over to you with a huge smile, wag my tail like a windshield wiper, and throw in some enthusiastic “hello” jumps. Heard that Jonas Brothers song “I’m a Sucker for You”? Yep, that’s me—but the floofy, four-legged remix version!
Once I’ve won you over with my exquisite good looks, sunny personality and perfectly timed head tilts, I’ll gently lean in, inviting you to run your fingers through my soft, floofy coat. Stick around long enough and I might just shower you with kisses—then roll over so you can give me a belly rub or two (or ten… but who's counting? ).
My most favorite thing ever is the play yard—aka my personal amusement park. After kennel time, strutting into that yard feels like walking into doggo Disneyland. I go full zoomie-mode, looking incredibly cute as I chase stuffies and tennis balls like I’m training for the doggo Olympics.
Don’t be fooled by my pretty face and goofy antics—I’ve got brains to match! I’ve already nailed “Sit” and “Down”. I walk nicely on a leash too, and if I do get a little excited and pull, just give me a gentle reminder and I’ll get right back on track.
I love treats—maybe a little too much! I’ve even been caught red-pawed sneaking a snack or two from a volunteer fan’s bag. Sometimes I get so excited that I forget my manners and can be a bit…er… grabby when treats are involved. What can I say? Even with my sensitive tummy, I absolutely LOVE to eat!
Speaking of my tummy, the shelter has me on a special sensitive-stomach kibble to help me feel my best. I’ll need to stick with that when I come home with you, which just means my food (and treats!) need to be a little special—just like me.
I wear my heart on my sleeve (and on my paws!), so I tend to greet people with lots of enthusiasm—which can mean some excited jumping. Between that and my eagerness for treats, a home without small kiddos would be the best fit for me.
I’d thrive with an active person or family who understands a Husky’s need for exercise and can help me work on staying calm and becoming a well-mannered pup. I’m super eager to learn—especially since I’m motivated by both treats and toys—so training will be fun for both of us! A backyard where I can let loose with my zoomies and chase after my favorite toys would be a huge bonus!
Got a doggo at home? Bring them along for an on-leash, supervised meet-and-greet to see if we hit it off! I’m so excited to meet you, my future fur-ever fans!
